We have updated our New Hire Pyramid and Publications section. Why did we do this?
The new publication, An Introduction to Plan 3, was written for all Plan 3 members regardless of the system they belong to. The new publication is replacing the Plan 3 Investment Education Journey to Retirement system specific versions.
Review the New Hire Pyramid sections Hiring Plan 3 Members and Plan Choice sections to learn about what has changed. Verify you are providing new employees the correct information.
You should continue to use the older publication, Plan 3 Investment Education Journey to Retirement. However, please ensure the current version (dated June 2006) of the Plan 3 Investment Guide is inserted in this publication. The current investment guide has the most current investment returns and the new trade restrictions policy.
We need you to recycle investment education videos you currently use because of the new trade restrictions policy. Refer to Email 06-009 for information on trade restrictions that became effective on July 7, 2006. The two investment video titles are, Plan 3 Investment Education produced in September 2000 and PERS Plan 3 Investment Education produced in January 2002.
Refer to the New Hire Pyramid Plan 3 Resources for instructions on how to order the updated investment guide and the new Plan 3 publication.
