Plan Choice Reporting - Methods of Reporting Plan 3
DRS makes the following recommendations for information reported by employers, the method of reporting, and the timing of when reports are sent to DRS:
Employers who have bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly payroll cycles should send reports each pay day rather than monthly.
Employers currently reporting with the paper report, with less that 85 members per system, should report via Web Based Employer Transmittals (WBET). All other employers should use Secure File Transfer (SFT).
Employers should use the Multiple Record Layout (MRL) for every system they report; i.e., PERS, LEOFF, etc.
DRS advises employers to follow these recommendations to facilitate Plan 3 reporting and improve consistency of reporting.
