Member Reporting Verification (MRV)
We are pleased to share with you some exciting improvements that have been made to the DRS eServices applications — improvements that have
come about with the help of your feedback and suggestions. We believe these new functions (listed below) will help make your interactions with
2008 Early Retirement Factors (ERF) Retirees identified in MRV
When a member has retired using the 2008 ERF, the following message is displayed on MRV: “
Retired under the 2008 Early Retirement Factors. Stricter return to work rules apply. Contact Employer Support Services immediately.”
To make it easier for you to inform DRS, MRV will display a new Yes/No question asking if you intend to hire this 2008 ERF retiree. Your answer
will be transmitted to Employer Support Services so that we may take action and prevent a possible pension overpayment.
Remove potential member (substitute) history from MRV
An educational employer can still view potential member’s history who worked for them, but will not be able to view potential member’s history
who have worked for other educational employers. Non-educational employers will no longer see potential member data.
Remove converted or transferred plans from MRV
Only a member’s current retirement plan will now show in MRV. Historical data, such as converted or transferred plans, can still be viewed
by clicking on a link in the screen. This information was sometimes confusing and is not necessary for employers when verifying new hires.
Remove files in My Documents Employers can now delete files posted in My Documents. A popular request from employers, this new
feature allows you to better manage your edit messages and other files from DRS.
Upload files to My Documents
Both employers and DRS can now upload Word, Excel, and PDF files to My Documents. This is a secure way to transfer files that may contain SSNs
or other sensitive data.
Combine notification emails into a daily email
Email notifications from eServices are being combined into a single daily email. We heard from many employers that they were receiving too
many notifications. RFEI requests and documents uploaded directly to My Documents will still be sent in a separate email.
Payment Advice in My Documents
After submitting a payment using ePay, a PDF copy of the payment advice will be posted in My Documents.
Web Based Employer Transmittal (WBET)
New earning records in WBET
A new ADD EARNINGS feature allows users to add an earning period for all members on a WBET report at one time. This eliminates the need to
manually add an earning period separately for each member on the report.
Delete Control Number and Organization Display
An obsolete data field has been removed from the WBET Update Member Info screen. This field — Control Number and Organization Display
— is no longer used.
Negative earnings and separation date in WBET
This corrects an issue where WBET would not allow negative earnings to be reported after a separation date. You can enter the negative
earnings first and then add the end date. Both items will process on the same WBET report, which previously had to be done over
two reports. It will also automatically delete any earning period records from the report that have zero hours/days and zero compensation.
