Chapter 8: Transmittal Reporting

The Reporting Process

What to Include in Your Regular Transmittal

When submitting your regular transmittal report include the following:
  • a summary record for each transmittal report (reporting group)
  • defined benefit information for members of all systems and plans (not applicable for DCP)
  • defined contribution/deferral information for Plan 3 members and DCP participants.
  • Use the other record types; e.g., member profile, employment information and plan choice, only when necessary.

See the Reporting Process Summary for an overview of the reporting process, the Transmittal Field Descriptions for information about each field in the transmittal report, and Making Corrections on the Regular Transmittal Report for how to do a correction on a regular transmittal report.

The Chapter 8 Index provides access to other details of the reporting process. Employer Frequently Asked Questions provide answers to the most common reporting problems.
