Chapter 8: Transmittal Reporting

The Reporting Process

Stop Reporting an Employee
Separating Retirement Members
SFT

Use the Employment Information Record to submit the member's eligibility end date if you are reporting via SFT.

WBET

If you report via Web Based Employer Transmittal (WBET), separation dates can be transmitting using a regular or a correction report. On the Earning Detail screen, click on the Update Member Info button associated with the member’s name. This will take you to the Update Member Information screen where you can enter the Eligibility End Date. For additional information, view the procedures in Using the DRS Web Based Services.

Terminating DCP Participation
SFT

Use the Employment Information Record if you report via SFT to submit the participant's termination date (the employee's employment termination date).

WBET

If you are using WBET, terminating the member in the retirement transmittal report will not terminate the member from DCP. You will need to terminate DCP membership in the DCP transmittal report. Click on the Update Participant Info button associated with the member’s name on the Deferral Detail screen. Enter the Employment Termination Date on this screen. For additional information, view the procedures in Using the DRS Web Based Services.

Note: When a participant changes their deferral to zero, stop reporting the participant to DRS. (Do not report any type of date.) Upon termination, add the participant back on to the transmittal report to send the termination date.
