Checks are mailed at the end of the month, or they can be deposited directly into your bank account if you are a customer of a participating bank.
Please keep JRS informed of your current mailing address, even if you have your check deposited directly in your bank account, so you are assured of receiving information about your benefits.
The Judicial Retirement System is administered by the Department of Retirement Systems. The Director of the Department is appointed by the Governor and is responsible for administering JRS.
If you receive an overpayment of your retirement benefit, the Department of Retirement Systems will require that the overpayment be repaid. If there is an underpayment, JRS will correct the error and pay you in full.
If you are dissatisfied with any JRS decision, contact JRS. You will be informed of your appeal rights.
