Retirees, inactive members, beneficiaries and legal-order payees: You can update your address from your online retirement account. Just select “Address” from the welcome screen. If you need to update your name, fill out and send in a printed form as well as a copy of documentation showing the change.
Active members: Update your name and/or address through your employer. That new information will soon appear in your online retirement account.
Administrative factors are used by DRS to calculate various types of benefit adjustments. The new factors, proposed by the Office of the State Actuary, are scheduled to take effect Oct. 1, 2020.
Comments on the proposed factors may be submitted by email to firstname.lastname@example.org by 8 am, Dec. 10, 2019, or in person at the public hearing. The public hearing will be held at 9 am, Dec. 10 at the Department of Retirement Systems, 6835 Capitol Boulevard, Room 115, Tumwater, WA 98501.
