DRS is proud to participate in Washington Saves Week (February 19-26). For many of us, saving for retirement is often “out of sight, out of mind” early in our careers – especially when we have many competing expenses. By the time we reach the last 10 years of our career and really begin to think about retirement, we realize that we should have started saving earlier. Why? If we start saving early, we get to take advantage of what Albert Einstein referred to as the most powerful force in the universe – compound interest. The earlier we start saving, the less we need to contribute each month to reach our goals.
