Subject: DRS Email 20-016, DRS Adjusted Retiree Return-to-Work Hours for Waiver Period
Governor Jay Inslee issued a proclamation related to the COVID-19 outbreak which waived return-to-work restrictions for specific retirees for work performed from April 1, 2020 through July 1, 2020.
DRS advised employers to report retirees returning to work (RRTW) as they always have during the waiver period. As a result, the return-to-work hours on record were overstated.*
We have since removed reported hours from the RRTW records for those affected by the waiver period. Retirees can verify their RRTW hours by logging into their online account.
DRS is mailing a letter to those who were affected during the waiver period. Here is a sample of that letter.
