Activate your online account

Your online account is where your retirement information lives. Here you can see how much you contribute, how long your service is, what plan you are in and more. Need convincing? See Online account.


Choose a plan

PERS, SERS or TRS member? If so, you have 90 days to choose a retirement plan. The Plan Choice section can help you decide which plan is right for you. Higher education employees eligible for HERP, see your Plan 3 options.

Choose a beneficiary

In the event of your death, DRS needs to know where to send your retirement account balance. Choose your beneficiaries now. Make this choice through your online account or complete a paper form.

Sign up for DCP

DCP, or the Deferred Compensation Program is an extra retirement savings program that can help you reach your retirement goals. If your organization participates in DCP automatic enrollment, you may already be on your way to saving more.

Updating Your Address and/or Name

Retirees, inactive members, beneficiaries and legal-order payees: You can update your address from your online retirement account. Just select “Address” from the welcome screen. If you need to update your name, fill out and send in a printed form as well as a copy of documentation showing the change.

Active members: Update your name and/or address through your employer. That new information will soon appear in your online retirement account.

Direct Deposit

Set up and manage direct deposit of your benefit payments from your online retirement account. Just follow the “Direct Deposit” directions under “My Account” in the navigation menu.

Beneficiary Designation

Members, you can update your beneficiary information from your online retirement account. Select “My Account” in the navigation menu and then “View/Edit” beside “Beneficiary.”
