Subject: DRS Notice 25-007, New Employer Homepage Launches May 14, 2025

A new employer homepage is coming soon. On May 14, 2025, employers who visit https://www.drs.wa.gov/employer/ will see some exciting changes.

To help employers understand what’s changing, we’ve developed a crosswalk between today’s webpage and the new one. Use it for a quick reference as you get acquainted with the new layout.

Some highlights:

  • An updated look and feel modeled after the member homepage
  • Easy navigation to the things you need
  • One quick scroll and a couple clicks to find your topic
  • New navigation to the Employer handbook and “jump to” links for popular content including reporting substitutes, reporting retirees and OASI (Old Age and Survivors Insurance)
  • A “Top Searches” box with links to the topics employers most often ask for
  • Employer forms now have a handy dropdown
  • All the different types of training you need in one place
  • A contact box with phone numbers and emails up front
  • An employer notices section with the most recent ones at the top
  • A “More resources” section including GASB and audit information, and Reports and publications

What’s staying the same?

  • ERA – nothing has changed in the Employer Reporting Application
  • Top navigation bar – the same topics are listed across the top of the webpage
  • The employer handbook navigation – for now, the employer handbook’s functionality hasn’t changed but we’re working on a new navigation that will improve how you move through the chapters (stay tuned!)
